This is the front of the ASR 33 Teletype call control unit. It is the power supply for the teletype. It is called a call control unit because the phone equipment needed to operate a teletype with a phone line is installed as part of this unit if that option is ordered. This teletype was intended for operation with a computer so does not have any of the phone equipment installed.
