The M series FLIP-CHIP boards were used in
the PDP-8/I introduced in 1968 and peripherals. They were also
sold as building blocks for custom hardware. These board replaced
the function of the R series boards
using modern TTL IC's instead of the discrete transistor logic. The later
board in this series were special purpose boards for the computers and
peripherals and not sold as building blocks.
The M series board were first listed in the 1968 logic handbook.
