This board generates 3.6 volts from 10 volt power supply for use with the W705 and W706 RTL boards. It uses five diodes in series as a shunt regulator with the two power resistors setting the maximum current. With a light load a significant amount of power is dissipated in the diodes which makes them hot enough to darken the board. The entire board can dissipate up to 15 watts. It is capable of providing up to 1.5 amps.
The capacitor on this board was made in 1966 when atomic was a positive word attached to lots of products. Its an interesting choice for capacitors that frequently explode when they fail.
This board cost $15 in 1968.
